Ochsner Fitness Center Kidsports Summer Camps

Camp Studio NOLA • Metairie • Ages 5-10 
Summer Camp planning has begun, and The Studio School of Dance is thrilled to announce the return of their most popular version of camp. This year, Camp Studio NOLA offers full-day camping! The Studio knows parents still need to work! They've got you covered! Previous experience or exposure to dance is helpful but certainly not needed. Each week will be centered around a different theme. Not only will campers dance, but they get to do games, crafts, and activities, and even showcase an end-of-the-week performance for you. It’s endless fun, and they will be EXHAUSTED by pickup!

Love Swimming  • Uptown • Ages 6 months–older
At Love Swimming, we have year-round, indoor, 30-minute swim lessons. They have a passion for teaching students of all ages in a way that is FUN and builds confidence. With safe, small classes, we strive to provide swimmers with a strong foundation for a lifetime of love and respect for the water. We believe that swimming is the best exercise for babies, kids, and adults, and strive to teach in a way that always encourages individuals to explore beyond their fears and expectations. 

JCC Summer Camps • Metairie and Uptown • Ages 21 months to entering Grade 8
JCC camps pack summer days with fun! Early childhood and general day campers enjoy a diverse mix of age-appropriate activities including pool time and American Red Cross-certified swim instruction for ages 3 and up, plus sports, art, drama, music, cooking, science, and yoga. The Uptown JCC’s Sports Camp focuses on game fundamentals, skills, and rules, as well as sportsmanship and teamwork. Campers learn basketball, baseball, football, soccer, and play recreational games and enjoy free-swim. Taglit teen camp offers a different theme each week, from arts to culinary, fitness, and more. At the J campers have endless opportunities to explore their interests, discover new ones, and develop meaningful friendships.

Pony Tales Horseback Riding Camp • St. Rose, 3 miles past the airport • Ages 4 - 12 
Since 1983, Pony Tales has offered riding lessons, ponies for birthday parties, and summer and holiday camps. They have miniatures, ponies, and horses of varying sizes, known for their good manners and years of experience, perfect for beginning riders. At camp, kids get to handle and ride a “horse” of their size, not one too big for them. They learn safety around the ponies and horses and explore true “horsemanship” and “horse sense”. They come home telling you about what they learned! Single-day camps are offered so your kid can try it out for just a day! The head instructor and owner is Kaye Harris who has been riding since 1973 under professional trainers. Kids’ learning is her passion, not just riding but how it applies to life. She loves to teach beginners their basics!

Skyhawks Sports Academy • Across the Greater New Orleans Area • Ages 1.5 - 12 
Skyhawks has partnered with JPRD to offer weekly Mini-Hawk camps for ages 4-7, Multi-Sport Camps, for ages 7-12, and 8 different specialty sports camps, providing countless ways for your child to grow. The camp is designed to introduce beginners through intermediate players to Tennis, Track & Field, Baseball, Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer & Volleyball. Also available are “STEM & Play” camps which combine traditional Skyhawks skill-based instruction with the innovative STEM Sports® curriculum. For the littlest tots (ages 1.5-5), check out the year-round SuperTots classes!

St. Mary's Dominican Sports Camps • Uptown/Carrollton • Entering grades 5-9
St. Mary’s Dominican High School offers a variety of great summer camps for girls, including individual Sports Camps for volleyball, basketball, soccer, and softball. All sports camps are staffed by Dominican coaches and team members. All skill levels are welcome! Registration coming soon.

Yonsei Ninja Warrior Camp • Kenner • Ages 7-12
Train to become an awesome ninja warrior with the opportunity to earn your first ninja warrior rank belt while having fun with challenging games and activities that test your focus and build confidence! Academy of the Sacred Heart • Uptown • Ages 1-13, boys and girls
Let Your Fun Shine at Sacred Heart! Campers will enjoy a wide variety of festive and fun summer activities and enrichment opportunities every day. Visual and performing arts, sports, water fun, music, cheer, competitive games, yoga, fitness, and more. All programs are directed by experienced, qualified, and dedicated faculty and staff. Lunch is included in the tuition, and after-care is available for all camps. June 12-July 21 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. 

Atonement Summer Camp • Metairie • Children Entering PreK 3–6th Grade
Summer Camp at Atonement is a BLAST!! Join them for a summer of FUN! Soccer, Basketball, Cinema, Slime, Cooking, Cheer, and MORE! There is an option for morning care and after-care from 7 am-6 pm. All are welcome! You do not need to attend Atonement church or school to participate in camp! Camp spaces fill quickly, so register TODAY! Vacation Bible School at Atonement is June 20th-June 24th.

MCA Summer Camp at Mount Carmel Academy • Lakeview • Entering grades 2-8
At MCA Summer Camp, campers customize their summer fun by picking their favorite activities from a diverse and exciting selection. Camp is open to girls entering grades 2-8 and will be June 5-30 by the week. Registration opens for grades 5-8 on March 15 and opens for grades 2-4 on March 16.

NORD Summer CampSeveral locations throughout New Orleans • Ages 4-15
NORD, the City of New Orleans Recreation Department, partners with community organizations to provide summer camps for youth and teens.  Camps are focused on sports, visual arts, theater arts, STEM, academic enrichment, outdoors, dance, and more! Plus, weekly field trips and visits to NORD pools to stay cool in the summer heat while learning about water safety and swim techniques. Don't miss their Summer Camp Expo on March 11 where you can meet camp directors and register on the spot!

Vámonos Summer Camp • Uptown • Ages 4–11
A Summer of SPANISH FUN! Save BIG on package deals! More language exposure = more language acquisition! Plus, your child will build camp friendships in a nurturing, child-centered environment! The fun starts at 8:30 am and the regular camp day ends at 3:00 pm with before care starting at 7:30 am and aftercare activities until 5:30 pm. All language levels are welcome!

YMCA • Metairie, Belle Chasse, Northshore, South Plaquemines • Ages 3–10th Grade
The YMCA camp gives children and teens the opportunity to get outdoors, learn about nature, discover new interests, and be more physically active. Participants develop confidence, independence, leadership, and social skills. Every week is a new theme and a new adventure!

Camp Dream Street • Utica, MS • Ages 5-17
Dream Street is a five-day, four-night camping program for children with physical disabilities. Kids get to be kids and canoe, swim, cook, fish, rid horses, and make lasting friendships. The camp is held on the grounds of URJ Henry S. Jacobs Camp in Utica, MS, and is sponsored by NFTY’s Southern Region. Free for campers to attend. 

Camp Tiger • New Orleans • Ages 6-15 
Camp Tiger invites children between the ages of 6-15 years old in the New Orleans, Northshore, Baton Rouge, and Lower Parish metropolitan areas who are physically and/or mentally challenged to join us for a week-long day summer camp. We especially welcome those children who are unable to attend other camps available for special needs, children. Although it is our goal to accommodate all children, due to limited funding and staff, we can only accept campers on a first come first serve basis whose needs we can meet with our current resources. Free for campers to attend. 

Louisiana Lions Camp • Anacoco, LA • Ages 8-19
A sleep-away camp for youth with qualifying special needs, diabetes, or pulmonary disorders. Each session is one week long, and registration specifics vary by camp. 

Longue Vue Summer 'ScapesMetairie Road • Ages 5-10
Summer’s almost here! Longue Vue’s Summer ‘Scapes Camp is a space for kids ages 5-10 to learn, explore, and play! Each week, we will delve into a different theme related to nature, science, or art. Camp tuition is $300/camper; $275/camper for members at the Emma level or above, and scholarships are available upon request. General registration begins March 1st.  Members at the Family Level and above can pre-register beginning Monday, February 27, 2023. 

Sugar Roots Farm Outdoor Summer CampBelle Chase/West Bank • Ages 5-12
Sugar Roots Farm Outdoor Summer Camp for 2023 will be offered for 5 weeks throughout June & July. When campers join us for Summer Camp, they can expect an immersive five days in nature, full of arts and crafts, scientific inquiry, outdoor exploration, and new friendships with their peers and our farm animals. Our camp curriculum covers the importance of seed saving and pollination, different ecosystems, the earth’s natural cycles, human impact on the planet, and, finally, the abundant magic of the natural world. $280 per week.

MCA Summer Camp • Lakeview • Entering grades 2-8
At MCA Summer Camp, campers customize their summer fun by picking their favorite activities from a diverse and exciting selection. Camp is open to girls entering grades 2-8 and will be June 5-30 by the week. Registration opens for grades 5-8 on March 15 and opens for grades 2-4 on March 16.

St. Mary's Dominican Summer Programs • Uptown/Carrollton • Entering grades 2-9
St. Mary’s Dominican High School offers a variety of great summer camps for girls who are entering grades 2 - 9. Camp offerings are DominiCamp, Jumpin’ for Joy, Sports Camps with volleyball, soccer, softball, and basketball, and Specialized Camps for band, drama, and studio art. Camp dates are June 5 - 23, 2023. Registration opens March 10, 2023.

City Park Movement and Art (CPMA) offers Summer Day Camps and Weekly Classes. Summer Day Camps are half-day camps that are sure to keep your child inspired, active, and engaged. JPAS Summer Musical Theatre Intensives • Metairie/West Bank • Entering 1st–12th Grade
JPAS Summer Musical Theatre Intensives provide a challenging and high-quality musical theatre education to students of the metro New Orleans area. The students who attend our Intensives are challenged and enriched through an encouraging and inviting environment. Summer Intensive welcomes children grades from grades first through twelfth each summer. No prior performance experience is required.

Through a series of small, specialized camps, kids in grades 2 through 12 can explore photography, painting, printmaking, mixed media, fashion design, and more! School of Rock Summer Camps • Metairie • Ages 8–18
School of Rock Metairie / New Orleans is a performance-based extra-curricular music school that offers camps for beginners to advanced students.  Camps take place at the school, 1907 Veterans Blvd, Metairie.  All camps are M - F from 9 am - 3 pm.  Depending on the camp you choose, the week culminates in either a live performance at a real venue, two days at a top recording studio, or valuable songwriting knowledge.  Use the discount code MacKid for an additional 10% off existing camp discounts.

Summer Music and Dance Camp at the River Ridge School of Music Camp; Dance provides students with a choice of over 40 instrumental, vocal, and dance programs to explore - all taught by our enthusiastic, university-trained faculty. Each day, students will attend their choice of classes and programs, which are all age and level appropriate. Parents are invited to a special end-of-week performance each Friday! 

Summer Technical Workshop for Young Adults • Warehouse District • Ages 9-19
New Orleans Glassworks & Printmaking Studio is proud to announce the 2023 Summer Technical Workshop for Young Adults, a hands-on program designed to introduce students to unique mediums of creation including Glassblowing, Torchworking, Ceramics, Printmaking, Metal Sculpture, Architectural Sculpture, and Stained Glass!

UPTURN ARTS CAMP • Uptown • Ages 4–15 
Do you like the arts? Are you creative, curious, and a fan of Field Trip Fridays? If so, you will LOVE this summer lineup of dance, music, theater, and visual art every day as part of our quest to become true ART-adVenturers! 12 themed sessions are available for ages 4-15 on a sliding scale.
