Students will attend 3 of our studio classes each day in small groups of 4-5 people.

Each student is encouraged to work at their own pace, and projects are designed to grow with them as they build on their skills in each week they attend.

The THREE-WEEK SESSION

When: May 30-June 16

Ages: 10-19

This intensive introduces the students to our Glassblowing, Metal Sculpture & Welding, Torchworking, Printmaking, Ceramics, and Architectural Sculpture studios.

The WEEKLY SESSIONS

When: June 19-August 11

Ages: 9-19

These sessions feature Stained Glass, Metal Sculpture & Welding, Torchworking, Printmaking, Ceramics, and Architectural Sculpture.

One Week Sessions Available

Students who attend for only 1 week will be given individual attention to assist them with completing their projects. If they are able to return for more weeks, they will join others who are continuing to build their skill levels.

Multiple Weeks Available

Students who attend multiple weeks will build on their skills to create increasingly difficult and intricate projects.

Weeks do not need to be consecutive.

Unfinished projects can be stored within our Studio in between sessions.

Our Studios include

GLASSBLOWING (furnace glass): This is molten glass on a large scale, which students will be familiar with if they have watched "Blown Away" on Netflix. Students will work in pairs, with the assistance of a faculty member as they create their blown designs.

METAL SCULPTURE & WELDING: Students will learn the basics of MIG and TIG welding and learn to use the plasma cutter. Final projects will be inspired by each student's imagination and will be created with the assistance of the instructor.

TORCHWORKING: Also known as flameworking or lampworking, this is molten glass on a smaller scale. Seated at a table in front of a single, stationary flame, students will begin with bead creation, moving into marbles and then figures.

PRINTMAKING: Utilizing our selection of handwheel printing presses, students will experiment with linocut, etching, mono-printing, and paper marbling.

CERAMICS: Focuses include slab work and coil building, allowing students the freedom to create a unique collection of sculptures.

ARCHITECTURAL SCULPTURE: Building sculptures from scratch, this studio engages students in problem-solving as they work to turn their 2-dimensional concepts into 3-dimensional projects, similar to how figures are sculpted for Mardi Gras floats.

STAINED GLASS: Drawing inspiration from windows found all around New Orleans, students will learn glass cutting and soldering techniques to create both 2- and 3-dimensional projects such as suncatchers and sculpted stained glass.
