SUMMER ART CAMPS AT OGDEN MUSEUM!
Through a series of small, specialized camps, kids in grades 2 through 12 can explore painting, printmaking, mixed media, photography, fashion design, and more! Each session draws inspiration from Southern works of art and gives campers the chance to learn from professional artists.

Fine Arts FUNdamentals Camp
For campers entering grades 2 – 5
Session I: Monday, June 9 – Friday, June 13, 2025 (1 week)
Session II: Monday, June 16 – Friday, June 20, 2025 (1 week)
Session III: Monday, June 23 – Friday, June 27, 2025 (1 week)
Session IV: Monday, July 7 – Friday, July 11, 2025 (1 week)

Spark your child’s creativity by enrolling your young artist in Fine Arts FUNdamentals. During each week-long session, campers will be immersed in creativity and discover the diverse world of Southern Art. In this series of small, specialized camps, kids entering grades 2 through 5 will explore a variety of art forms, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, textiles and much more!
Every session is fresh, fun, and designed to inspire, culminating in a special gallery exhibition celebrating campers’ amazing creations. Don’t miss this chance for your child to make art, new friends and lasting memories!
Campers should come to camp each day with a water bottle, snack, lunch and an extra layer.

Fashion Camp with ricRACK NOLA
For campers entering grades 6 – 8
Monday, July 14 – Friday, July 25, 2025 (2 weeks)
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
What does the future of fashion look like? Join instructors from ricRACK in an engaging Fashion Camp focused on sustainability.
Each morning, campers will focus on creating an ecologically conscious outfit for an end-of-camp Fashion Show, while afternoons will include movement and runway planning. Throughout the two-week camp, participants will learn sewing and design skills that include re-use, repurpose, and “greener” ways to dress, while also honoring diverse bodies and aesthetics.
Fashion Camp culminates in a fun and sustainable Fashion Show that highlights the students’ design process and showcases their outfits in both action and function.
Campers should come to camp each day with a water bottle, snack, lunch and an extra layer.

Photography Camp
Session I
For campers entering grades 6 – 8

Discover a new way of seeing and exploring digital photography in a fun and exciting summer Photography Camp at Ogden Museum. Campers will learn the basic elements of photography such as composition, exposure, lighting, and the functions of the camera while creating meaningful and thought-provoking work. Campers will also explore elements of photography such as storytelling, portraiture, and documentary through daily field trips to area art institutions. Back in the classroom, campers will practice, critique, and build a portfolio of work.
To close out the week-long program, students will select some of their work to showcase in an exhibition opening on White Linen Night at Ogden Museum.
Campers are encouraged to bring their own digital camera or phone camera. A limited number of digital cameras are available for campers to use at the Museum. Campers should come to camp each day with a water bottle, snack, lunch and an extra layer.
