Access Health Louisiana School-Based Health Centers • Jefferson and Orleans Parish Metairie • All ages
The School-Based Health Centers (SBHC's) are service sites operated by Access Health Louisiana (AHL) in Jefferson Parish. AHL provides Pediatric Primary Care-well & sick visits, immunizations, sports physicals, acute & diagnostic care, and Behavioral Individual & group therapy services. The SBHC is easily accessible for all school students and is on-site at the schools. Consent forms must be completed to be seen by the SBHC staff and can be found on the website. The Parenting Center at Children’s Hospital helps parents and grandparents with the ordinary challenges of raising children. The staff of parent educators come from a variety of backgrounds to help families grow from birth through adolescence. The Parenting Center provides classes, a lending library, and a playroom.
