2019 Easter Egg Hunts, Bunny Photos, and Parades in New Orleans

Before we know it, it'll be time for egg hunts, pictures with the Easter bunny, parades, and more! Below is a list of fun spring time events happening around town.

March 23
Easter Bunny Arrival and Egg Hunt at Lakeside Mall + Bunny Photos
9:45 am Lakeside Mall 3301 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie. Happy Easter from Lakeside Shopping Center! Hop over to Lakeside and welcome the Easter Bunny with an egg-celent egg hunt sponsored by Elmer Chocolate starting at 9:45 am followed by the Easter Bunny Second-Line Parade! Find the perfect outfit for your little bunnies and while you're at the mall, capture your family memory with an Easter bunny photo! Want to skip the photo line? Buy an Express Pass here. Express Passes are available March 24 - April 20.

Easter Bunny Photos at Clearview Center
Mon - Sat 11am - 7pm; Sun 12pm - 6pm; April 18 - 20 10am - 8pm; Clearview Center 4436 Veterans Blvd. Metairie. Get your photo taken with the Easter Bunny. Specials offered daily with many photo packages to choose from with varying prices. Call 504-455-7289 for more info.

March 30 
Easter Egg Roll at St. Mary's Dominican High School
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Dominican High School main lawn, 7701 Walmsley Ave. New Orleans. The annual Easter Egg Roll, hosted by the Alumnae Association, begins at 10AM with 3,000 eggs! Bring your own basket. Special area for egg hunters under five years old. Snacks and beverages provided. Enjoy crafts, petting zoo, and photos with the Easter Bunny. The event is $20 per family. In the event of rain, the Easter Egg Hunt will be in the Alumnae Hall. For reservations and payment, visit www.stmarysdominican.org.

April 6
Mount Carmel Easter Egg Hunt
9:30 am - 12:30 am Duplantis Gym, Mount Carmel Academy 7027 Milne Blvd. New Orleans. Everyone is welcome to join the fun at the Easter Eggstravaganza sponsored by Mount Carmel Academy's Alumnae Association. Enjoy a full breakfast, a visit with the Easter bunny, crafts, games, and an Easter egg hunt!

Longue Vue House and Gardens Easter Egg Hunt
Morning hunt 9:30 - 10:30 AM, hunt starts at 10:00 AM, Afternoon hunt 1:30 PM - 2:30PM, hunt starts at 2:00 PM. Bring your basket and hippity hop on over to Longue Vue for a morning or afternoon of fun, face-painting, photos with the Easter Bunny, lawn games, plant sales and more! Each session will have age-specific egg hunting areas (ages 3 and under, 4-6, and 7 and up). $12 per ticket for members; $15 per ticket for non-members, children 2 and under are free at both hunts. Compassionate Bunny
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Center Court at The Esplanade, 1401 W. Esplanade Ave. Kenner. Individuals within every spectrum of special needs and their families are invited to a private photo session, to experience the time-honored tradition of a visit with the Easter Bunny during dedicated hours. Please reserve your complimentary ticket on EventBrite - ONE TICKET per group/family. Photo packages that capture holiday memories will be available for purchase at the event, pricing varies by location. Registration in EventBrite coming soon.

Lakeview Presbyterian Church Annual Easter Egg Hunt 
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM Lakeview Presbyterian Church Playground 5914 Canal Blvd New Orleans Join the fun at the Lakeview Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Families are asked to bring 2 dozen stuffed eggs per family, if they are able by March 18th, with candy (peanut free), stickers, erasers etc. All families must RSVP to the egg hunt! Easter Bunny Brunch
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM East Jefferson YMCA, 6691 Riverside Dr., Metairie. The Easter Bunny is coming to the Y again this year! Come celebrate with pancakes and photos with the Easter Bunny. The event is open to everyone, you do not have to be a Y member to attend. $2 for members, $5 for non-members. Call 504-888-9622 to register or stop by the front desk at the Y. If you are not a member of the Y and decide to join today, you'll receive a 10% discount on your first month of membership.

April 13 
Egg-citing Spring Fling at Algiers Plaza
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Algiers Plaza. Join Algiers Plaza and Macaroni Kid Westbank for this fun FREE family-friendly event that includes photos with the Easter Bunny by Imaginola, DJ and a bounce house by S&J Events, video games by NOLA Game Truck, Art Bus NOLA, Petting Zoo by Dat Rollin Ranch, face painting, cookie decorating station, lemonade, Easter Egg Hunt and more! *Cookies and Lemonade while supplies last! The event takes place in the empty grass lot behind Algiers Regional Library/ across from Winn Dixie. In case of rain: Event will take place at the old Mattress Firm space next to Walgreens and the Easter Egg Hunt may need to be modified.

Egg Scramble at City Park - advance online ticket purchase required
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Carousel Gardens and Amusement Park at City Park, 1 Victory Drive New Orleans. $10 per person. Babies under 1 year old admitted free. Friends of City Park tickets $5/member. The Egg Scramble has over 36,000 eggs for your kids to find! No need to bring your own basket, they'll be provided. The day begins with the gates of Carousel Gardens opening for those with Egg Scramble tickets at 9am. Enjoy music, face painters, the Easter Bunny, and a balloon artist. All this extra fun is included in the Egg Scramble ticket price. The egg hunt begins at 10am. Recommended for 8 years and younger, with Storyland as an area for toddlers only. Easter Eggstravaganza Sponsored by NORDC
11 AM - 2pm Two locations: Behrman Park 2529 General Meyer Ave. New Orleans and Joe W. Brown Park 5601 Read Blvd. NORDC hosts a family-friendly Easter egg hunt where kids 12 & under are invited to bring their baskets and join the Easter Bunny for an Easter egg hunt. The eggs will be filled with candy and prizes. Kids can enjoy face painters, space walks and games. Free admission. On April 20, their will be the same event at Lafitte Greenway, 1971 St. Louis St.

April 13
NOMA Egg Hunt & Family Festival - ENTER OUR TICKET GIVEAWAY HERE

Easter Egg Hunt Hosted by Sheriff Marlin Gusman

Sheriff Gusman invites you to the 13th Annual Easter Egg Hunt featuring games, face painting, arts and crafts activities, music and food. Everyone is welcome to this free event. The Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 1-5 begins at 11 a.m. The Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 6-12 begins at 11:45 a.m. Participants can turn in the eggs they find, in exchange for a candy gift bag. First Lady Easter Egg Hunt in Chalmette

Children ages 10 and under will enjoy a day filled with activities ranging from a traditional Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Bunny picture station, various yard games, obstacle course, train rides and more!

April 21
The Historic French Quarter Easter Parade 9:45 AM - 11:00 AM French Quarter, starting at Antoine's Restaurant. The Historic French Quarter Easter Parade, different from Chris Owen's Easter Parade, takes off from Antoine's Restaurant around 9:45 am and proceeds to St. Louis Cathedral for 11:00 a.m. Mass. This parade has mule-drawn carriages and old convertibles making their way through the French Quarter, and handing out stuffed Easter bunnies and other trinkets for the kids. Following Mass at St. Louis Cathedral, the parade participants continue to Jackson Square to show off their Easter hats.

35th Annual Chris Owens French Quarter Easter Parade 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM French Quarter - beginning at the corner of St. Louis and Royal Streets. A New Orleans tradition celebrates its 35th year! This beautiful parade will be complete with colorful floats, marching bands, beads, Easter trinkets, and plenty of eager revelers. As the Grand Duchess of the Easter Parade in New Orleans, Chris Owens will be dressed in her personally designed Easter ensemble, complimented by her beautiful and exotic Easter bonnet. The Duchess leads the annual Easter Parade with family and friends, who will also be dressed in their best Easter attire.
