Bring your clean glass to recycle it. Glass is turned into sand and cullet for coastal restoration, disaster relief, eco-construction, and more. Glass is only accepted during program hours. Visit these links for more information about Glass Half Full and Glassroots. In partnership with Glassroots and the Friends of the New Orleans Public Library. Please do not drop off glass outside of program hours. Unattended glass on the premises is unsafe for everyone and has to be thrown away. Future dates at Alvar: Sept. 17, Oct. 15, Nov. 19 and 12/17.
