Spark imagination, creativity, and a love of reading. Actors, authors, and artists read children’s book, then families explore the galleries together. Themes include creatures, nature, red, weather, and brothers and sisters.

Studio KIDS! | Select Saturdays from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Art Detectives, get your magnifying glasses ready! This Spring, students will uncover details hidden throughout the museum. In each class, Studio KIDS! explores art made by diverse cultures as inspiration for art projects. From beading to painting, each class features different media and techniques. Register for one class or the entire series. Make sure to sign up in advance to ensure your spot. Children ages 5 - 10. $25 for members; $30 for nonmembers. Call 504-658-4128 or email

Baby ArtsPlay Saturdays at 10:30 am
Instill a love of art at a young age through a guided, hands-on gallery experience. Young Audiences Wolf Trap teaching artists will present a series of 6 workshops for caregivers and children ages 0-3. Learn how to integrate music, movement, and drama into everyday playtime to foster children’s developmental growth. This free 6-part workshop series provides engaging arts based activities designed to instruct caregivers on how to use the arts at home to promote early learning. Click here for more information.
