Gather your family, celebrate favorite holiday traditions and make new memories at Festival of Trees Family Fun Day -- Saturday, December 6 at the Louisiana Children’s Museum, 420 Julia Street, New Orleans. The day will feature the Museum’s whimsical collection of trees decorated by local schools, artists, and community partners and bring children, parents and grandparents together to kick off the holiday season.
Festival of Trees Family Fun Day will begin with a Patron Brunch from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., and continue with a general admission Pajama Party from 12:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Special event ticket prices apply.

Wear your coziest holiday pajamas and begin the day with a delicious family breakfast catered by the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. Mix and mingle with Mr. Bingle, take a family photograph compliments of Peoples Health, and enjoy holiday caroling with Louisiana History Alive carolers. Watch Mr. Jazzy sculpt Mr. Bingle in ice, then catch an interactive performance of the Panorama Jazz Band at 12:00 p.m. featuring a special program of holiday songs from around the world. The fun will continue into the afternoon with games, crafts, cookie decorating, special performances and more!

The fun continues with an afternoon holiday pajama party. Decorate a chef’s hat compliments of the John Besh Foundation then decorate holiday cookies provided by Holy Cross Primary School. Help Rudolph find his nose in a special scavenger hunt. Enter the “Trim the Tree Spree” and transform a family member into a holiday tree. Plus, take a family photograph, learn your reindeer name, create a keepsake ornament, and enjoy a special holiday performance by the New Orleans Dance Academy.
In addition to the Family Fun Day festivities, the Louisiana Children’s Museum will host a raffle of five holiday gifts including: a Dillard’s Designer Decorated Tree, a one-night stay at The Roosevelt New Orleans: A Waldorf Astoria Hotel, a Step 2 play set compliments of LeJouet, an autographed Saints football, and a Louisiana Children’s Museum Birthday Blast. Raffle tickets are $10 each and proceeds benefit the Museum’s educational programs and exhibits. Raffle rules, prize descriptions and raffle ticket purchases are available at www.lcm.org.
