Boo Carre this Saturday at the French Market

Trick or treating, crafts, petting zoo, music, miniature golf and more!

Boo Carre is a FREE Halloween celebration in the French Market that is truly a fun family event!

The 5th annual Boo Carré Halloween and Harvest Festival features miniature golf, a petting zoo, face painting and balloon artists, plus five craft booths where kids can interact with local artists and make Halloween and harvest themed items to wear or take home. The fun is centered in Dutch Alley, the most kid-friendly spot in the French Quarter, with plenty of great live local music to keep all ages happy. Get your trick-or-treat bag here (free to kids in costume) and your list of participating shops, then venture out to get your goodies at over 15 stops throughout the French Market District!

Here's what's happening this Saturday, October 18 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm:  

TRICK OR TREATING : Kids in costume receive a complimentary trick or treat bag, while supplies last!
•Pumpkins for sale at the Farmers Market
•Hay and pumpkin photo area at the Farmers Market with Halloween decorations
•Interactive craft booths with Halloween & Harvest themes in Dutch Alley
•Miniature golf in Dutch Alley
•Petting zoo in Dutch Alley
•Face painting
•Playbuild temporary playground/large building blocks for kids to build with in Dutch Alley
•Spooky secondline at 11:00 a.m. where kids can walk through the entire French Market District in costume together!

New Orleans Rhythm Devils  10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m
Benny Maygarden  12 noon to 1:30 p.m.
Black Dragons  2:00 to 3:30 p.m.

INDOOR ENTERTAINMENT IN THE JAZZ PARK IN DUTCH ALLEY

3-4 p.m. Jim and Martha Hession perform spooky jazz duets

ENTERTAINMENT AT THE FARMERS MARKET
There will be a tent with hay and pumpkins for kids to play and take photographs, plus these presentations onstage nearby for all ages to enjoy:

1:00 p.m.  Sweet potato pie eating contest with Loretta’s Authentic Pralines
2:00 p.m. Cooking demonstration with New Orleans School of Cooking
3:00 p.m.  Praline demonstration with New Orleans School of Cooking
