Their infant specialists will work with you to find more ways to soothe, care for, and enjoy your baby. At the heart of the services offered is the home-visiting program. Having a fussy baby can feel very isolating. Fussy Baby providers want to help support you. They will come to your home and meet with you and others who play an important role in caring for your baby.
Being in the home provides the least distraction and upset of the family and affords the provider the luxury of seeing your baby in his own home with the people who love him most. A home-visitor will call you to set up a visit and typically spends anywhere from 1-2 hours learning more about your baby and how Fussy Baby can support you and your family.
There are also 2 groups that meet where you can share your experiences with other parents and learn more about topics of special interest.
2020 Mom Project Postpartum Support Group
Fussy Baby Network ® New Orleans and Gulf Coast is partnering with the Nola Nesting doula collective to host a Postpartum Support Group for mom-to-mom support, in response to the national call to action by the 2020 Moms Project for greater perinatal support for women. Postpartum moms and moms-to-be gather twice a month in a supportive environment to discuss challenges and feelings in the time before and after birth. Groups are co-facilitated by a Nola Nesting doula and a licensed mental health professional. The group meets twice monthly at 6pm in two locations:
Second Monday of the month: 6pm at ZukaBaby store, 2122 Magazine St. NOLA
Fourth Thursday of the month: 6pm at Rosa F. Keller Libarary and Community Center, 4300 S. Broad St. NOLA
