2021 Summer Camps In and Around New Orleans

MOVE! New Orleans Best Summer Camp and After School Program • Gentilly • Ages 4–12  
Experience a full-day camp for your child that is equally educational as it is exciting and fun in gymnastics, parkour, tumbling, martial arts, and more! It is sure to be a safe, positive, and motivational camp adventure where your child is guaranteed to obtain physical and mental fitness. Students develop strong communication and ethical problem-solving skills.

Kidsports • Harahan • Ages 3-12
Kidsports Summer Camp, held at Ochsner Fitness Center – Harahan, offers a summer’s worth of fun-filled, structured, and engaging activities for kids ages 3-12. Run by a trained and experienced staff, kids are separated into small groups based on age, and COVID-safety measures are employed for clean summer fun. Campers will get a chance to engage in sports, obstacle courses, artist-led crafts, field trips, water fun, interactive gaming and more! Camp dates are May 17th - August 13th. Love Swimming  • Uptown • Ages 6 months–older
Love Swimming offers amazing summer swimming lessons for all ages in warm pools in Uptown New Orleans. Classes offer a safety step to prepare kids for all camps with a swimming component. Their FUN year-round lessons make learning to swim confidently and skillfully a dream for kids and adults! Classes are professionally taught, they are members of the United States Swim School Association, and have a real passion and excitement for the life skill and sport of swimming. Swimmers who start early and have consistent lessons are safe, fit, happy people.

St. Mary's Dominican Sports Camps • Uptown/Carrollton • Entering grades 5 - 9.  
St. Mary’s Dominican High School offers a variety of great summer camps for girls, including individual Sports Camps for volleyball, basketball, soccer, and softball. All sports camps are staffed by Dominican coaches and team members. All skill levels welcome!

Soccer Shots Summer Camp at City Park!  • City Park • Ages 3–9 
Join Soccer Shots this summer (June-August) for a half-day camp in the Tad Gormley Stadium at City Park! Spend a week filled with skill learning through fun games, crafts, and tons of positive reinforcement. Your camper will experience the joy of playing soccer and being active all while making incredible memories! *Must be potty-trained* 

Academy of the Sacred Heart • Uptown • Ages 1 - 13, boys and girls
Calling all boys and girls – ages 1-13! Come Camp with the Krewe at Sacred Heart! Your camper(s) will enjoy a wide variety of festive and fun summer activities and enrichment opportunities every day. Visual and performing arts, sports, water fun, music, cheer, competitive games, yoga, fitness and lots more ... campers will have a ball. All programs are directed by experienced, qualified, and dedicated faculty and staff. Lunch is included in the tuition, and after-care is available for all camps. 

Camp Dates: June 14–July 30, 2021

Camp Cost:  $280-315 per week (depending camp choice)

Arden Cahill's Camp CorralWest Bank • Ages 3–14 
Come have a “whale” of a summer on the beautiful 12-acre country campus of Arden Cahill Academy’s Camp Corral. For over 50 years, Arden Cahill Academy’s Camp Corral has offered a relaxed environment with plenty of indoor and outdoor space where children continue to grow and develop during the summer months under the supervision of qualified teachers and experienced instructors. Recently voted the #1 SUMMER CAMP in the New Orleans area, Camp Corral offers 10 weeks of summer activities and events! Arden Cahill offers enrichment courses in math and language, which can be taken in conjunction with regular play camp.

Atonement Summer Camp • Metairie • Children Entering PreK 3–6th Grade
Atonement summer camp is a BLAST and registration is now OPEN! Camp runs June 1st-August 6th. Due to COVID restrictions, space is limited so make sure to register early! All are welcome, you do not need to be a church or school family to participate in our program, which includes specialty camps like Cheer Camp, Basketball Camp, Nature/Science Camp, Princess Camp, and many more!

Camp Benilde • Metairie • Ages 3–12
At Camp Benilde we provide a safe, fun, and exciting environment. Campers will enjoy many educational and inspiring on-campus activities each week. We also have several fun and exciting field trips planned all summer long.  Campers in grades 1-6 will also enjoy swimming once a week at the majestic Paradise Manor. Our younger campers will have the luxury of swimming on campus in our inflatable kiddie pools.

Camp Trinity • Lower Garden District • 15 months of age–14 years 
Camp Trinity offers 30 specialty camps each June and August. Camps are led by Trinity faculty and staff and include a variety of options for students ranging fifteen months through fourteen years old. Our summer camp runs over five consecutive weeks in June and for two full weeks and one partial week in August. It includes both half and full-day scheduling options.

Children's Summer House • Uptown • Ages 3–7
Join University Montessori School's Children's Summer House for 3 three week sessions, June, July, and August. Children's Summer House is nature inspired focusing on outdoor play. Teachers strive to help each child be happy, secure, independent, confident, capable, and successful.

Kidcam Camps • New Orleans/Metairie/Kenner/More • Ages 5-13
With more than 12 camp locations to choose throughout the Greater New Orleans area, we are building on our success of last summer. We are currently planning for a limited capacity at each of our locations for 2021 due to ever-changing Covid-19 guidelines. Kidcam is also working with local health officials to determine the safest protocols so we can again provide the complete Kidcam Camp experience including a mix of Kid’s Choice, weekly field trips, and swimming.

NORD Summer CampGentilly • Ages 4-12
Join NORD for a summer of fun. New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission is the recreational agency for the city of New Orleans. Choose from camps focusing on sports, visual arts, theater arts, STEM, academic enrichment, outdoors, dance, and more! Weekly field trips to places like the Skate Center, Aquarium, Zoo, and Insectarium, just to name a few. Participants also visit NORD pools to stay cool in the summer heat.

St. George's Episcopal School Dragon Camp • Uptown • Ages 12 months – entering 3rd grade
Dragon Camp, for ages 1 to 7, provides a safe, exciting, and engaging program that focuses on the interests of the children in each classroom.

YMCA • Metairie, Belle Chasse, Northshore, Buras, Port Sulphur • Ages 3–10th Grade
The YMCA camp gives children and teens the opportunity to get outdoors, learn about nature, discover new interests, and be more physically active. Participants develop confidence, independence, leadership, and social skills. Every week is a new theme and a new adventure!

Camp Dream Street • Utica, MS • Ages 5-17
Dream Street is a five day, four-night camping program for children with physical disabilities. The camp is held on the grounds of URJ Henry S. Jacobs Camp in Utica, MS and is sponsored by NFTY’s Southern Region. Free for campers to attend. 

Camp Tiger • New Orleans • Ages 6-15 
Camp Tiger invites children between the ages of 6-15 years old in the New Orleans, Northshore, Baton Rouge and Lower Parish metropolitan areas who are physically and/or mentally challenged to join us for a week-long day summer camp. We especially welcome those children who are unable to attend other camps available for special needs children. Although it is our goal to accommodate all children, due to limited funding and staff, we can only accept campers on a first come first serve basis whose needs we can meet with our current resources. Free for campers to attend. 


Camp U: A Camp for Every Girl • Uptown • 3 years of age–7th Grade
Ursuline Academy’s Camp U is truly a camp for every girl. Girls from rising Toddler 3 through rising seventh grade have the opportunity to enjoy activities in both STEM and the arts while building friendships and making memories of a lifetime. Ursuline’s innovative environment inspires girls to explore hands-on projects with their interests in mind and keeps them engaged with challenging concepts.
The Academy promises to provide a safe, fun environment while following all COVID-related guidelines.

St. Mary's Dominican Summer Programs • Uptown/Carrollton • Entering grades 2 - 9
St. Mary’s Dominican High School offers a variety of great summer camps for girls who are entering grades 2 - 9. Camp offerings are DominiCamp, Jumpin’ for Joy, Sports Camps with volleyball, soccer, softball and basketball and Specialized Camps for band, drama, and studio art, June 7 - 25, 2021.

ARTS STUDIES INTERNATIONAL ~ Summer Theatre Intensive • Old Metairie • Ages 8 - 12

Learn about the Vikings, their way of life, the Sacred Runes, metal work, sea voyaging, trading as far East as China and especially their Edda’s and sagas leaving behind rich mythological explanations for their world. 

JPAS Youth Musical Theatre Intensives • Metairie • Grades 3-8 and 6-12   
JPAS Musical Theatre Intensives provide a challenging and high quality musical theatre education to students of the metro New Orleans area. The students who attend are challenged and enriched through an encouraging and inviting environment. Summer Intensive welcomes children grades 3-8 and 6-12 each summer. Individual attention and fun are the goals, so space is limited. Young performers have the opportunity to work with professional artistic staff. At JPAS, they place the child first and give them the opportunity to spread their wings in a creative and remarkable way.

The Octave School of Music • Metairie • Ages 0–18 
We offer private music lessons for ages 4 and up, or group Zumbini Classes for ages 0-4 years old. All of our classes are month-to-month. School of Rock Summer Camps • Metairie • Ages 8–18

Summer Music and Dance Camp • River Ridge • Ages 5–16 
Summer Music and Dance Camp at the River Ridge School of Music & Dance provides students with a choice of over 40 instrumental, vocal, and dance programs to explore - all taught by our enthusiastic, university-trained faculty. Each day, students will attend their choice of classes and programs, which are all age and level appropriate. Parents are invited to a special end of week performance each Friday!

St. George's Episcopal School Dragon Camp • Uptown • Ages 12 months – entering 3rd grade
Offered by St. George's Early Childhood Program, Dragon Camp is a summer day camp providing exciting and engaging programming including a variety of small groups, whole group and outside water play activities that prioritize the health and wellbeing of our campers. With St. Georges teachers on staff, Dragon Camp students receive access to project-based learning that focuses on the interests of the children in each classroom, as well as creative free play in a safe and caring environment. Registration opens to the New Orleans community on January 22; current St. George’s families receive priority.
