First Presbyterian has been hosting a pumpkin patch since 2001! The pumpkin patch is the biggest fundraiser for the church's homeless outreach ministry, the Program of Hope. Pumpkins of all sizes and shapes will be for sale, including gourds, wing gourds, spookies, minis, weebee littles, and snowflakes. Donations of clothing, toiletries, and non-perishable food items will also be accepted at the pumpkin patch. Pumpkin Patch Schedule: 3PM-Dusk Mondays - Fridays; 10AM-Dusk Saturdays; 1PM-Dusk Sundays. These are not your average grocery store pumpkins!! First Presbyterian Church's pumpkin inventory includes 35 varieties of pumpkins- priced by overall size- so you'll find a wide selection of sizes, shapes, textures, and colors to choose from. First Presbyterian Church sells pumpkins that are grown on Navajo land in the Four Corners area of New Mexico using sustainable agricultural practices. All Pumpkin Patch products are non-GMO. Cover crops are used to prevent soil erosion & suppress weeds, reducing the need for the use of herbicides. We provide a great product, which has less of an impact on the environment. Our supplier - Pumpkin Patch Fundraisers -employs over 700 Native Americans during the harvest months of September and October and a full time off-season New Mexico staff that is comprised of entirely Native Americans. This has a positive and lasting impact on a region with 42% unemployment. Buy a Pumpkin, Make a Difference!
