Here is your chance to take the kids to 20+ museums in New Orleans for free - well, almost. Here is how it works: New Orleans Museum Month is a collaboration between museums of all sizes across the greater New Orleans area. It offers museum members the opportunity to use their membership to allow two people admission to all other participating institutions, FREE OF CHARGE, throughout the month of August. Not a member of a local museum yet? Join one and see them all for free during the month of August! Visit participant websites for hours of operation and special announcements and events. If you're thinking "What? My kids would be so bored at a museum!", check out these 7 tips for making a museum outing a big success for your family. Don't worry if you are not a member of a New Orleans museum. All participating institutions will allow you to buy membership upon arrival to immediately get the full benefits of Museum Month.
