Description
Louisiana residents receive free admission to the Botanical Garden on Wednesdays, Courtesy of The Helis Foundation. From the 1930s to today, the New Orleans Botanical Garden offers the city carefully cultivated gardens, where you will find more than 2,000 varieties of plants from around the world. Visitors will find aquatics, roses, native plants, ornamental trees, shrubs, perennials and more inside various theme gardens. Highlights of the Botanical Garden include the Conservatory of Two Sisters, the New Orleans Historic Train Garden, the Yakumo Nihon Teien Japanese Garden, the Pavilion of the Two Sisters, the Garden Study Center, Lath House and the Robert B. Haspel Garden Stage. Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday, and Sunday 10am-4:30pm; Saturday - Sunday, 10am-4:00pm. Last entry 30 minutes before close. Enter through the Oscar J. Tolmas Visitor Center at 5 Victory Avenue.
