Description

Discover the wilds of Alaska, the animals that live there, and the people that depend on them. Cool off in the remote northern wilderness while discovering surprising connections between Louisiana and the animals, landscapes, and people that make Alaska A Place Like No Other! Planetarium presentations run about 45 minutes. Please allow one hour for the entire experience. Schedule and selection subject to change. Click here for the movie trailer. Click here to buy either member or general admission tickets. Before or after the movie, take your kids on a nice little hike on the walking trails. Audubon Louisiana Nature Center is a cherished community resource. Located adjacent to Joe Brown Park in New Orleans East on 86 acres of hardwood bottomland forest, its creation was a project of the Junior League of Greater New Orleans, opening March 23, 1980. The Main Boardwalk and Adventure Trail (and restrooms) are open Mon-Sat 8:30 am - 3:00 and are monitored by rangers. The Interpretaive Center is open Thursdays & Saturdays 10 am - 2pm and the Ranger Programs are on Saturdays at 11:00 am. Click here to learn more.
