The 38th Annual Creole Tomato Fest is a fun family friendly event with live music, cooking demos, food and drink partner locations and Kids Activities in Dutch Alley: Adorn Me Antoinette, ArtCamp504, The Button Lady and Pixie Dust: Biodegradable Glitter. The Fest runs till 6pm so you can grab dinner AND sit under shady tents to dine in - join the fun on both Saturday and Sunday. As always, the start of the fest kicks off with the Ripe & Ready Second Line at 10AM! Wear your favorite tomato attire and take it to the streets! The Second Line will form at Oscar Dunn Park, 700 Decatur Street across from Jackson Square, and walk to the French Market festival location. French Market Produce will be sampling and selling Creole tomatoes! Matt Ranatza Farms and George’s Produce will be on-site selling Creole tomatoes at the festival! ***Be a part of history and close out the Fest Sunday June 9th with New Orleans’ first LA TOMATINA! No longer do you need to travel to Bunol Spain for La Tomatina. Join us at the French Market for a lively tomato fight accompanied by great music. For those who would rather watch, there will be a viewing area within potential tomato strike zone to remain part of the action. La Tomatina requires free tickets distributed on a first come basis before the event. Space is limited. There is also a free childrens version. La Tomatina Kids is located in Dutch Alley and is open each day of the fest during regular operating hours.
