Description
This event combines two of everyone's favorite festivals into one! The Tremé Creole Gumbo and Congo Square Rhythms festivals sit on the outskirts of the French Quarter in Tremé, celebrating the neighborhood as a key proving ground in the birthplace of jazz! This year, the weekend kicks off on Friday night, March 25, with John Boutte and Family in concert at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center. Special guests include Tanya Boutte & Arséne DeLay. Tickets are $10, available here. Then on Saturday and Sunday you can enjoy full days of great live music, arts market,and good vendors. Learn more here. The festival is free. Donations boxes are set up at the park entrances. Each day starts with a drum circle from 10:45 am- 11:30 am.
