The Junior League of New Orleans (JLNO) presents the 8th Annual Touch a Truck event. This unique, one-day experience gives families an up-close look at their favorite "big trucks" and the opportunity to meet the people that protect, serve, and build Metropolitan New Orleans. Displays may include construction trucks, emergency responder vehicles, tractors, and utility trucks. The special chance to touch a variety of vehicles, sit in the driver's seat of a bulldozer, or climb aboard a fire engine creates lasting memories for children and their families. Not only will families have fun at this event, but 100% of the proceeds will help women and families in Greater New Orleans through JLNO’s mission, community projects, and volunteer efforts. The event offers a “Quiet Time” from 1 pm to 3 pm. The vehicles will not be permitted to run their sirens, lights, or horns during that period. If your child would prefer this environment to explore the event, plan to arrive during this time.Children under 12 months get into the event for free.
