Description

The Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival is a premier family event that attracts over one hundred classic boats, hundreds of spectator boats, and wooden boat and music enthusiasts for this two-day celebration on the Tchefunte River. The festival offers fun kids' activities in the Children's Village with music, games, arts and crafts, science experiments and more. Highlights include Amazon Adventure Obstacle Course, Rockin’ Rollin’ Bubbles Amusement, Quad Jump, Paint-the-Pirogue, Tinker Tug and the Smoke House. It’s great, safe fun, and there’s seating for parents. Also enjoy fine arts and crafts booths, the Classic Car and Motorcycle Cruise-In, a Beer Garden with flat screen TV's and seating for football enthusiasts,  and the Quick 'n Dirty Boat Building Contest and Parade on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 per day for adults, $5 for seniors 65+, and free for  children 12 and under and Active Duty Military (with ID). Same day unlimited re-entry. Your admission ticket gives you access to the Maritime Museum as well as the nighttime musical performances. Click here for more info.

How

Pay admission; Since parking by festival grounds is very limited, parking at one of the  off-site parking lots is recommended. Park for free at Sam's Club (69630 Stirling Blvd., Covington) and ride the convenient fest shuttle  to Madisonville, right to festival grounds. On-site handicapped parking  is limited.
