The Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival is in it's 14th year and as always, it combines great food, music and art in the heart of New Orleans' Central Business District. Two stages are set up in the square in such a way that the sound from one doesn't conflict with the other. Houma guitar hero Tab Benoit, the legacy-continuing Allman-Betts Band, R&B “swing” singer Tucka, slide guitar maestro Sonny Landreth, soul belter Erica Falls, harmonica ace Johnny Sansone, guitar shredder Jonathon Boogie Long, gospel legends the Zion Harmonizers and New Orleans blues favorite Little Freddie King are just a few of the great musicians to perform. Craft booths will surround the square, and there will be plenty of food booths, especially some of the best barbecue in the South. The festival is one of several presented by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation.
