Here's a special opportunity for families to enjoy their favorite films in a safe & accepting environment. The lights are up, sound turned down & the audience is invited to get up, dance, walk, shout or sing! The idea for the program began with a request from a parent in Columbia, MD with an autistic child for a special screening. More than 300 children & parents attended the first screening! Today's movie is Spider Man The Homecoming. Sensory Friendly Films at AMC Theaters is for families affected by Autism to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment. The auditoriums dedicated to the program have their lights up, the sound turned down and audience members are invited to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing!
