The New Orleans JCC Summer Camp
offers an engaging and creative experience for children!

The JCC's Early Childhood Lower Camp: Directed by early childhood educators, Uptown campers who currently attend the JCC's Early Childhood Center will benefit from continuity of care, enjoying summer in a familiar environment. In Metairie, the JCC works closely with our partners at the Jewish Community Day School to provide a seamless transition from a school setting to summer fun. For JCC newcomers, camp is a chance to experience the diversity of our membership and to learn, play, and grow with the loving support given by our staff. Youngsters have fun while building social and emotional foundations needed for future success. Activities include swimming, water play, music, art, sports, and more!

  • K'ton ton (Ages 21 - 36 months; Uptown only)
  • Chaverim (Ages 3 - 4)

The JCC's Upper Camp: Campers swim and splash in the outdoor pool, enjoy sports, drama, music, art, and celebrate Shabbat with song and dance. Color wars, themes-of-the-week, and extra special performances also contribute to a memorable summer at the JCC. In addition to free swim, Upper Campers receive American Red Cross Swim instruction.  Offered at both Uptown and Metairie locations and includes the following groups.

  • Maccabee  (Entering Grades K - 1)
  • Sabra  (Entering Grades 2 - 3)
  • Zion  (Entering Grades 4 - 5)
  • Taglit (Entering Grades 6 - 8; First five weeks only)

By building social and individual skills, making new friends and discovering new talents & passions, your camper will make memories every day. Color wars, weekly field trips, overnights, themes-of-the-week & extra special performances also contribute to a memorable summer at the JCC.

Counselors in Training Program (CIT): The goal of the CIT Program at New Orleans JCC Summer Camp is to provide a comprehensive leadership training program to rising 9th and 10th graders, where teens learn through workshops, mentorship, and child-care experience as Counselors-in-Training at day camp
