With Upturn Arts during Summer 2026!
Join Uptun Arts for exciting weekly camps, designed for young artists ages 4 to 12. Our talented teaching artists offer classes in theater, music, dance, and visual arts. Young artists enjoy time with their friends in a fun, creative environment where they are encouraged to find their artistic voice and create original works of art. We focus on individuality, discovery, and exploration in each class.
Whimsically Wonderful Upturn: This May we’re diving into the whimsical world of imagination! Explore the world of fantasy and magic, as teachers lead classes inspired by all things whimsical! See drawings become magical forests, cardboard become crowns, real life turned to fantasy. Week 1 we will be exploring the magical world of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night Dream with the Shakespeare on the Road group from Tulane University.
Around the World with Upturn: Let’s explore around the world with Upturn Arts this June! Classes will be inspired by different cultures and countries with an Upturn Arts “passport” to be stamped along the way.
Locally Louisiana: We’re celebrating our state this July and exploring all things Louisiana! From the beautiful nature to the deep cultural roots and rich traditions, campers will explore what makes this state we call home special.
Art through the Decades: Buckle up, time travelers! Big adventure ahead with “Art Through the Decades!” This August, we’ll zoom through time, exploring amazing art from long ago to today and catching a glimpse of what art might become in the future.
*Families interested in an optional *all-inclusive* breakfast, snack and lunch food program will be emailed weekly to sign up! Please note that registering for camp and donating to the food program does not automatically add you to the food list.*
