Ages 7 - College
Now in its 29th season, the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestras. GNOYO is an independent non-profit organization whose mission is to engage, educate, and foster music awareness across the community. Young musicians, ages 7 to college-aged, are placed by audition in GNOYO’s challenging and rewarding orchestral programs. Five orchestras and six outreach programs are offered and students from the entire region are welcome:

Each season, GNOYO also presents an annual Young Soloists Concerto Competition, five major performances, community outreach concerts, and summer programs including the GNOYO Summer Music Festival. Participants significantly improve individual performance and ensemble skills, while developing the attitude and discipline that help them take initiative in their schools and community. Recent seasons have included an East Coast concert tour, concerts at Carnegie Hall, a five-city tour of France, and collaborations with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and the New Orleans Ballet Association.
