Ages 5 - 18 years old
The New Orleans Children’s Chorus’ three choirs are open to all young people of the metropolitan area, ages 5-18. No special talent or experience is required. NOCC finds a place for any young person who wants to sing. The choirs bring together young people for a fun-filled and exciting musical experience, directed by highly skilled music professionals in a convenient location.
The 2023 -2024 season will run from mid-September through early May. This season will include a Broadway concert with choirs and individual singers performing show tunes, as well as our regular Winter Concert and Spring Concerts.
NOCC is comprised of three ensembles:
All of the choirs rehearse on Monday afternoons at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5800 Canal Blvd., NOLA 70124. Rehearsals begin this year on September 11.
The Songbirds for Kindergarten and 1st graders
Rehearsal time: 4:15 pm - 5:00 pm
The Lyric Chorus for grades 2-5
Rehearsal time: 5:15 pm - 6:15 pm
The Concert Chorus for grades 6-12
Rehearsal time: 4:45 pm - 6:15 pm
