YMCA SUMMER CAMPS - Metairie, Belle Chase, Covington, South Plaquemines

At the Y, the goal is to provide programs that fit your family. The summer camp programs run weekly and match local school calendars to ensure that while school is out, children continue to have a safe and exciting place learn, grow, and thrive. There are several things about camp at the YMCA that sets it apart from other camps:

1) Swimming every day!  Summer is hot and all kids love to swim and camp is where they can learn to swim and sharpen their swimming skills. Not all camps have a pool or access to a pool.

2) All counselors are thoroughly trained. Rest assured campers will be well taken care of — all camp staff share our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, complete a rigorous 30 hour training program before summer starts, and all are CPR and First Aid certified.
