New Orleans JCC Summer Camps

Pre & Post-Camp Mini Camps and Before & After Care available

The New Orleans JCC Summer Camp, running from June 3 to July 25, offers an engaging and creative experience for children. Each week features a new theme, encouraging children to explore art, music, and imaginative play. Activities include daily pool time, sports, drama, science, and more! Campers develop lasting friendships and thrive in a safe, supportive environment led by caring staff.


Early Childhood Day Camp - Ages 21 to Pre K

K'ton ton (Ages 21 - 36 months; Uptown only)
Chaverim (Ages 3 - 4)

Directed by our professional Nursery School staff, our camp provides each child with developmentally appropriate activities in the areas of art, music & sports. In addition, all children will participate in daily water play activities. Three and four-year olds will also have the opportunity to participate in swim lessons led by our certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors.
 
General Day Camp - Entering Grades K – Grade 5

Maccabee  (Entering Grades K - 1)
Sabra  (Entering Grades 2 - 3)
Zion  (Entering Grades 4 - 5)
Taglit (Entering Grades 6 - 8; First five weeks only)

By building social and individual skills, making new friends and discovering new talents & passions, your camper will make memories every day. Color wars, weekly field trips, overnights, themes-of-the-week & extra special performances also contribute to a memorable summer at the JCC.
 
Sports Camp -  Entering Grades 3 – 5

Appropriate for all skill levels, Sports Camp is a great avenue to fine tune one’s athletic ability. Campers will face, & eventually rise to meet, physical & mental challenges within the context of sports.
 
Taglit Teen Camp - Entering Grades 6 – 8

Campers will work with a specialist in their chosen field each morning & enjoy other camp activities like swimming, sports, and “Hang Time” each afternoon. Flexible weekly scheduling allows campers to choose from the following specialties: Adventure Trips, Culinary Delights, Comic Book Design, Papier-mâché Sculpture, Strength & Conditioning, Color Wars and Wacky Science.

Counselors in Training (CIT) - Entering Grades 9 – 10

The goal of the CIT Program at New Orleans JCC Summer Camp is to provide a comprehensive leadership training program to rising 9th and 10th graders, where teens learn through workshops, mentorship, and child-care experience as Counselors-in-Training at day camp. Click HERE to learn more.
