Newman Summer is a joyful and enthusiastic camp environment for your child to explore and learn from an array of activities led by qualified and experienced staff. Rising PreK through 8th graders will enjoy exciting and enriching summer experiences through four quality programs on Newman’s 11-acre Uptown campus. Campers gain self-confidence and independence by staying physically active and mentally engaged – all while having fun with friends old and new! Camp fees start at $344. Dates: June 1 – July 24
Where Summer Belongs To Kids - The Day Camp program is designed to empower rising PreK through 6th-grade children to take ownership of their camp experience. With the freedom to make choices, each camper has the opportunity to design a unique day - every day. We strive to provide the best environment and staff to meet the varied interests and needs of our growing campers.
Strive To Be A Champion - Rising 2nd through 7th-grade. Have fun, develop skills and improve athletic ability in your child's favorite sport at Sports Camp. Every week, athletes will be able to focus on a particular sport; these include football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, soccer, track, and field. The mornings include teaching and instruction from our experienced varsity coaching staff. In the afternoon, your child will put their newly acquired skills to play in cooperative and competitive games.
Perform In A Broadway Musical - Rising 5th through 8th-grade students have daily classes in acting techniques, musical theater voice, and dance, including tap, jazz, musical theater, and hip-hop. The program culminates with all students performing Mary Poppins Jr. in the Henson Auditorium. The focus of the Theater Workshop is to engage students’ creative energies through skills developing environment, intense rehearsal process, and multiple performance opportunities on an auditorium stage. Our goal is for participants to have fun while pursuing growth and advancement in theater arts.
Discover Your Place In Space - Rising 3rd through 6th-grade. Blast off to explore our planet, the Solar System, and the Milky Way. Discover your place in all of that space! Using the excitement of NASA’s mission and programs, students will engage in hands-on activities and experiments. Students will stir up their creative juices as they work in teams to understand toys in microgravity, build a rocket, create alien slimes, and program LEGO robotics.
