Les Enfants has developed a program which includes a variety of learning experiences to assist in the overall development of your child: intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. The challenge for teachers is to work with each child as an individual and to find the key to his/her potential. Les Enfants believes in the need for each child to feel successful, to learn at his/her own pace, and to develop independence and confidence. Two, three, and five day a week classes are offered.
Our specific objectives include teaching a child how to:
* Happily leave home and parents.
* Learn to share, make friends, express feelings in acceptable ways, and participate in group activities.
* Develop a sense of responsibility by expecting him/her to help at pick-up time, to use materials properly, and to observe group rules, such as taking turns and treating teachers and friends with respect and courtesy.
* Develop language skills such as following directions, sharing ideas and stories in group discussions, listening at story time and participating in singing activities.
* Develop large and small motor skills through climbing, tumbling, riding bikes, using scissors, working puzzles, playing games.
* Develop thinking skills through matching, sorting, sequencing, and searching for answers to “Why?” “How?” “What?” “Where?”
* Develop creative expression through painting, pasting, dramatic play, block and manipulative play, music and movement.
