All aboard! Audubon Zoo is excited to announce the return of its beloved Zoo train as the Audubon Wonders of Nature Express, offering guests a fun and relaxing way to explore the Zoo. Beginning August 20, 2026 passengers will once again enjoy a narrated, scenic loop featuring views of major Zoo landmarks, lush landscapes, and animal habitats along the way.
The train has been a favorite for generations of Zoo visitors, and its return marks the beginning of a refreshed experience with a new name, new look, and new feel. While the experience has been updated, guests can still enjoy all day access to the narrated ride and memorable views that have made the train a beloved part of any Zoo visit.
Audubon Wonders of Nature Express will operate seven days a week and is available for $5.00 for Audubon All-Access or Zoo-Only Members and $6.50 for non-Members. Guests can purchase train tickets at the Zoo’s front gate, Membership Window, or directly at the train ticket booth.
