This month, we’re excited to quack up some fun as we celebrate one of New Orleans’ favorite traditions! The 16th Anniversary Rubber Duck Derby at City Park!
On Saturday, September 27th, families from across our community will gather to support Second Harvest Food Bank for a day filled with laughter, BIG prizes, activities, and the thrill of watching thousands of little rubber ducks race for a great cause.
Adopting a duck (or a whole flock!) is more than just joining a race, it’s a chance to create memories with your kids while making a difference for families across South Louisiana. Children love naming their ducks and cheering them on as they are blasted with a fire-hose, giving them a push to float toward the finish line. You can even form your own team with friends and family, and become a team captain, rallying your loved ones to support Second Harvest together.
The most important thing is that every duck you adopt provides 15 meals for children and families fighting hunger across South Louisiana.
