The Brooke Erin Posey Foundation, founded in memory of Brooke Posey, carries forward her legacy of joy, generosity, and compassion for others. Since its creation in 2019, the foundation has supported families, children’s causes, and local organizations through acts of kindness both big and small.
One of its most heartfelt initiatives is Brooke’s Kindness Bags — care bags filled with comfort items for children and teens undergoing treatment at local hospitals. Each bag is designed to brighten a hospital stay with thoughtful touches like teddy bears, cozy socks, coloring books, lip balm, and small games.
This September, the Foundation is rallying the community for its Kindness Bag Drive to benefit Ochsner Children’s Hospital. The goal: to fill 50 Kindness Bags by September 30. Thanks to the generosity of supporters, every bag will be built with love on October 4 and delivered to the hospital the week of October 6.

Whether through shopping the wish lists, donating funds, or spreading the word, every contribution helps bring comfort to children and families when they need it most. Local supporters like Debbie R., who collected over 50 teddy bears for the bags, show just how mighty kindness can be when a community comes together.
