New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission kicks off the Fall 2024 series of Movies in the Park, featuring family-friendly, outdoor movie screenings across NORD parks and playgrounds. The Fall 2024 season begins Friday, Sept. 6 with "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem" at the Lafitte Greenway Brake Tag Station (500 N. Norman C. Francis Pkwy.).
Families are invited to experience the charm of Movies in the Park, where community members of all ages can gather for free, safe and enjoyable evenings. Select events will offer concessions or bring your own picnic. Residents are reminded to also bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No pets, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, firearms, weapons, smoking or outdoor cooking are allowed during the event. Movies begin at dusk, and each film screening has an alternate, indoor location in case of inclement weather.
