Back to School Boogaloo is presented by Louisiana Healthcare Connections and made possible in partnership with NOLA Public Schools, Agenda for Children, Manning Family Children’s and New Orleans East Hospital with the support of Councilmember Oliver Thomas. Health services and resources for kids ages 6 months–18 years. Free enrollment with Manning Family Children’s ThriveKids student wellness program for any at school health needs that arise during the school year. Free immunizations for qualifying families through the Greater New Orleans Immunization Network. Take advantage of sports physicals, plus primary care & dental resources. Free haircuts, school supplies, and more (while supplies last). Plus take advantage of resources and activities for kids and families, free food and fun including live music, games and more! NOLA Back to School Fest ~ Xavier University Center
NOLA Back 2 School Fest provides thousands of school children in grades K-6 from throughout the New Orleans area with a backpack filled with essential school supplies – tools children need to learn and achieve academic success in the upcoming school year. Students must be pre-registered to receive the FREE school supplies and backpack. Families will drive through or walk-up to collect the FREE school supplies and backpack outside the Xavier University Center. Additional details will be provided with your pre-registration confirmation. Presenting sponsors are Shell, Xavier University and GNO STEM.

The City of New Orleans' Neighborhood Engagement Office, in partnership with Councilmember King, Starbucks and One Heart NOLA, invites you this special event. FREE Parking will be available in the lot located at Basin St. and N. Villere St. Families can enjoy a day filled with community connection and celebration as we gear up for the new school year! The event will feature FREE laptops, over 2,000 backpacks, school supplies, braids (Hair must be washed and blown dry) and haircuts—all while supplies last—alongside a vibrant resource fair, live entertainment, and free food for attendees.
