Don't Miss the Awesome Kids Cultural Pavilion at Bayou Boogaloo

Bayou Boogaloo is happening May 17, 18 and 19 on Bayou St. John. The musical lineup is incredible, along with food and art plus an amazing Kids Cultural Pavilion. See the list below of all the entertainment lined up for the kids!

About 25% of the festival's audience brings at least one child with them to the fest -it's a very family friendly event! Kids 12 and under are admitted free.

Bayou Boogaloo also has a baby changing and nursing tent in the kids area, centrally located on Orleans Ave.

  KIDS CULTURAL PAVILION 

•Silent Disco with DJ Tom Harvey: Join DJ Tom Harvey, a veteran with
over 25 years of experience, as he sets the mood with an eclectic mix
of House, Funk, Soul, Techno, Dub, and World Beat. Known for his
performances at major events like Voodoo Fest and Bayou Boogaloo, Tom
continues to energize every space he plays, from yoga studios to
late-night techno spots.

culture with our dynamic youth ensemble. Celebrate heritage and
cultural exchange through the lively dances and sounds of punta,
yancunu, and more, fostering a deeper understanding of the Garifuna
culture.

•River Eckert: Experience the magic of 14-year-old River Eckert, a
"Torch Bearer" of the New Orleans Piano Tradition.

•Krewe da Bhan Gras: Bollywood Dance Party - Get ready to dance at
our Bollywood Dance Party! Learn various dance styles and bring a new
flair to your celebrations.

•Muggivan School of Irish Dance: Whether you're a beginner or a
seasoned dancer, join us for a fun-filled Irish dancing session with
demonstrations and lessons.

•Marcus Akinlana's Juju Connection: Join the CONGO SQUARE JUBA for an
interactive and joyful journey exploring the story of the drum in
Bulbancha, aka Nouvelle Orleans. It’s an experience filled with
rhythm, dance, songs, and captivating storytelling.

•The Yemayayas: An all-female voice and percussion group dedicated to
singing songs to the African Orisha/Goddess Yemaya.

•Big Couch: Family Friendly Improv Comedy - Engage with Big Couch
improvisers for an evening of family-friendly unscripted comedy that
will spark your children's imaginations.

•Generations Brass Band: Featuring members of Black Feather Young Generation.
