Based on the E.T.A. Hoffmann fantasy story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, the ballet is a magical Christmas Eve journey about a girl who befriends a nutcracker that comes to life.
Toy soldiers, the Mouse King, and the Sugar Plum Fairy--experience these classic characters again this holiday season as part of the fantastical journey with The Nutcracker presented by the Jefferson Performing Arts Society.
Travel to the Land of Sweets with Clara as she befriends a nutcracker who comes to life on Christmas Eve to wage a battle against the evil Mouse King. This dancing and dreaming fantasy reminds us of the importance of imagination, love and childhood.
