It happened...schools are closed through April 30!!!
Let's not panic.
Take a deep breath and put on your teacher hats, because as a mom or a dad we are all teachers anyway! Macaroni Kid New Orleans created an easy to use COVID-19 Homeschool Schedule with hyperlinks to online activities, educational games, and videos. Staying inside for such a long period of time also presents an opportunity for us to be very present with our children 24/7 for 4 weeks. We don't have appointments to rush off to or school to be late for. It's a time to slow down and enjoy completing activities together for fun or that may have been on your bucket list. Here are a few ideas:
- Build your outdoor garden
- Build a living room fort, pop popcorn, and watch a movie
- Have a fashion show
- Potty train
- Cleaning out that messy closet
