Seventeen years ago, Marilyn Levin created R.E.A.D. (Reading Enrichment and Development), an early literacy class for children ages 4 months through 4 years and their caregivers. Classes are designed to offer opportunities to explore language and the joy of reading through creative play, song, dance, and books.
This year, READ is pleased to announce the addition of a new class to our award-winning program and a special GIVEAWAY for a new family to experience the class!
In collaboration with Crane Rehabilitation Center, they are now offering an All-Inclusive class for children 18 months through 4 years and their parent/caregiver. This class has the components of a typical READ program, but with a smaller class size limited to six enrollees, a slower-paced class with fewer transitions, and more opportunities for deeper language immersion. A certified occupational therapist will be working with us during the class in addition to their traditional teacher/assistant model.
Their all-inclusive class will meet on Tuesdays beginning March 17th through April 29th from 9:15 am to 10:15 am. The tuition for will be $240 which includes 6 classes and a parent-only orientation.

This class will be appropriate for ALL children. It will specifically benefit children who:
•Are late talkers
•Have English as a second language or are being raised bilingual and need more English exposure
•Have difficulties with transitions
•Have sensory processing problems
•Have socio-emotional delays
•Thrive with a slower pace in a smaller environment
After one session, parents have praised the all-inclusive class at READ for:
-Being organized and incorporating a group routine,
-Helping children improve language,
-Engaging the children in multiple activities, including reading, singing and playing,
-Having a fun, comfortable and safe learning environment (one parent said that their child cried when class was over because he didn’t want to leave),
-And incorporating the input of a certified occupational therapist within the class.
