Since we are all in Barry mode, publishing this newsletter is a little weird, as I'm not positive about the status of all events. It's safe to say nothing is going on tomorrow besides the weather, but if you plan to head out on Saturday for entertainment, you might need to call ahead to make sure your event is happening.
Here is what I do know:
•Jefferson Parish Library is closed now through the weekend, opening again on Monday.
•The New Orleans Library - All Library locations are temporarily closed and all Library events are canceled through Sunday, 7/14.
•All Audubon properties are closed now until further notice
•The Louisiana Children's Museum is closed Friday and Saturday
•All NORDC facilities closed Thursday and Friday
•Lafreniere Park closed Thursday at noon and remains closed on Friday
And any weekend event that is listed in this e-newsletter or on our website - please call the venue to confirm it is actually taking place.
Who knows what's really going to happen? I hope no one's homes or cars flood, again. Unfortunately, several homes on my street had water in their basements yesterday.
