ArtCamp504 was founded two years ago as a summer arts and parade camp for NOLA children. Since then, ArtCamp504 has expanded to include year round community outreach events, programs, and workshops, in addition to our six week summer and parade camp and a two week winter Film Camp at Art Klub.
ArtCamp504works with artists, filmmakers, and other creative industry professionals to design workshops and curriculum that emphasize sustainable art using our unique culture and heritage of New Orleans. Their mission is to inspire and guide NOLA children to use a structured creative process to think outside the box while using mixed media and nontraditional creative art forms to express their imagination. Children learn creative expression skills using a variety of visual and performing arts - past workshops have included painting, parading, puppetry, theater, film, YouTube, and bookmaking.
