It’s time to get your tickets for Boo at the Zoo, the annual kids' Halloween extravaganza that benefits Children's Hospital and Audubon Zoo.

Boo at the Zoo is a safe, fun-filled Halloween event for children up to age 12, featuring trick-or-treat houses with candy, a Zombie-themed Ghost Train (which can be scary), a haunted house (scary and non-scary), activities, entertainment and more.

Event dates this year are Friday, October 26; Saturday, October 27; and Sunday, October 28.

Boo at the Zoo also features a toddler area featuring live entertainment in Audubon's Cool Zoo (be aware, no water will be running).

Tickets are $20 per person (adult or child), plus handling fees if purchased online.

All activities and treats, except concessions, are included with admission.

Contests for best group costume and best stroller/wagon decorations will be held all three nights. To compete, costumed groups must be a combination of adults and children and must include a minimum of three contestants. For more information on the contests, click here.

The spooky party will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27; and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 28. Audubon Zoo will close at 3 p.m. on October 26 and 27, and at 2:30 p.m. on October 28 to prepare for Boo at the Zoo.

Adults must purchase tickets as well as all children 12 months or older. Children under 12 months of age receive complimentary admission.

Tickets also can be purchased at any Audubon attraction. Online ticket sales will close 30 minutes before start time on each day of the event. Tickets may be available at the gate if that night's event is not sold out.

Rides on the Gottesman Family Endangered Species Carousel are included with admission. The fun also includes nightly animal encounters. The Ghost Train ride will close at 7:45 p.m. on October 26 and 27 and at 6:45 p.m. on October 28. All animal exhibits will be closed during Boo at the Zoo.

A limited number of tickets will be sold for Boo at the Zoo each night. Tickets will be honored only for the date purchased. The event is held rain or shine.

Ticket holders who are unable to attend should consider their purchase a donation. There will be no refunds, nor will tickets be honored on another night or year.

No outside food or beverages are allowed at Boo at the Zoo. Designated bags will be distriibuted for children to use for trick or treating.
