My daughter and I were lucky enough to attend the opening night of Disney on Ice celebrates 100 years of Magic Presented by Stonyfield YoKids Organic Yogurt at the UNO Lakefront Arena. It was a magical experience for both of us. We have been to all of the Disney shows and I will say this was the best one yet!
The pre show was great for my three year old, as she was able to sing, dance and burn some energy before the show started. The pre show starts just a few minutes before the actual show, so if you are interested, be sure to arrive a little early, as the show does start right on time.
It begins with the classic characters; Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck. With 100 years of movies, the characters they picked were the perfect fit. There are characters for everyone from all of the Disney princesses to Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Disney’s The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin.
The show is a sing and dance along with all the Disney characters, that includes an extended version of everyone's favorite characters from Frozen. If you missed out on Frozen on Ice this gives you a small glimpse of what was featured. My daughter absolutely loved this part of the show. She could sing every line of Let it Go and see her favorite character, Elsa.
We definitely left with magical memories. Seeing my daughter's face each time a new character came out was thrilling. She loved every minute of the show and so did I, from singing along to dancing.
We cannot wait for the next show!
