The Louisiana SPCA Mega Match-a-Thon

The Louisiana SPCA Mega Match-a-Thon is here! If you've been thinking about expanding your family, now is the perfect time! 

This Friday, Saturday and Sunday the La SPCA will join shelters across the country in hosting this huge adoption event. Thanks to a generous grant from the ASPCA, all animals at the shelter will be $25. This includes dogs, cats and even a few bunnies. Learn more here. 

•Although they are offering discounted adoptions, the LA SPCA is fully committed to ensuring that the adoptables go to the right homes, so the standard adoption requirements will apply. 

•If you have children or other dogs, you must bring them with you to Mega Match-a-Thon so they can meet and interact with potential adoptables.

•It is very important that you bring proof of current vaccinations for your current pets. They will not be able to process an adoption without this proof.

•Additionally, if you rent your house, you will need to provide proof of landlord permission for you to adopt a cat or dog.

•Lastly, if you’re a resident of Orleans Parish, your dogs must be spayed or neutered or you must have a valid intact permit.
