Camp Lango Gives Kids the World!

Foreign Language Adventure Camps for kids 18 months to 14 years old

March 1, 2012

Camp Lango is enrolling now for Spring Break Camp* and Summer Camp.

*Spring Break Camp is the week of April 9th to the 13th and offers before and aftercare.  This year's theme is We're Wild About Animals, with the language focus on French or Spanish.

If you're looking for a way for your child to learn a foreign language and enjoy an exciting summer experience, then Camp Lango is for you.  Summer is a time for our kids to explore, discover and create new friendships, but it's not always possible to whisk off to the jungles of Peru or the mountains of China.  Camp Lango is like a trek around the globe with campers becoming explorers of other cultures and languages, all in their own backyard.

Lango's Summer Camp runs from June 11th to August 17th.  Each week offers a new adventure with a different theme and destination.  Ranging from the Circus to the Olympics, each session ends with a camp-wide celebration for parents, family and friends!  Campers are placed into 2 groups by age range.  Lango Tots is for children ages 18 months to 3 years and is located at the Preschool campus of Ecole Bilingue de la Nouvelle Orleans in Uptown New Orleans.  Also located Uptown on Ecole Bilingue's Main campus, Lango Kids is for campers 2.5 years to 14 years old.

As Lango Regional Director Yelena Brookshire explains, "We like to think of Camp Lango as a traditional summer camp with a unique twist.  Our kids enjoy all of the fun and relaxation of a well rounded camp environment while naturally gaining a highly valued skill: command of a foreign language.  Camp Lango kids have a summertime blast swimming, cooking, gardening, playing sports, making art or music and many other exciting activities, all while immersed in French, Spanish, Mandarin, German or Russian.  Our focus is on creating an environment where kids can discover new talents, explore their interests and most importantly make lasting connections with friends and teachers.  Because our kids are focused on fun, they simply absorb a language naturally and effortlessly."

Camp Lango is a way for kids to experience a world of international adventure while naturally learning a foreign language.  For more information on Lango's Spring Break Camp and Summer Camp please visit www.langoneworleans.com or call Director Yelena Brookshire at 504-344-1661.
