Moms and moms to be....get excited! Spring is near and for those of you already familiar with Rhea Lana....that means a consignment sale!

“I love Rhea Lana’s and can’t wait to consign and shop with them again in March,” says Carley Alexander of Poplarville, Mississippi, who consigned with Rhea Lana’s of New Orleans last August. “They have the best quality, prices and selection I’ve seen at any consignment sale in the South. Driving an hour from my home is definitely worth it. I saved over $300 dollars last fall, and, because Rhea Lana’s pays 70 percent to consignors, I made nearly as much with what I sold.”
Have something you want to consign? Rhea Lana’s of New Orleans is accepting new consignors now through midnight on Sunday, March 13. “The process is very easy,” says Erica Plaia Harrod, who brought the Rhea Lana's franchise to New Orleans. “Consigners enter their items online, and they can view an online video that shows how to prepare items for the sale.”
The next Rhea Lana’s sale open to the public will take place at the University of New Orleans March 17-19. But consignors, expectant moms and volunteers can shop early during the Private Pre-Sale Event on March 16. (View directions, maps and detailed sale dates and hours online here.)
“Shoppers at our sale will find name-brand and boutique style clothing for boys and girls, swimsuits, Easter outfits, shoes, maternity wear, toys, play yards, play sets and everything you need for your baby,” says Erica, a New Orleans native and UNO grad. “We have furniture, strollers, high chairs, cribs, joggers, nursery gear, baby carriers, monitors and much more. We have a great online video for shoppers or consignors who want to learn more.”
Erica says her spring event will take place in a much larger space than her previous sale. “Fortunately, there was a lot of excitement about last sale – we had a fantastic turnout. But, unfortunately, we were a bit cramped and parking was an issue.”
This year the sale will take place at UNO’s 18,000-square-foot Human Performance Center, which offers plenty of free, nearby parking. Erica says they are also doubling the amount of check-out lanes for their busiest sale times, particularly during the Private Pre-Sale on March 16.
