BIG NEWS!! Art Camp 504 is expanding into a permanent home at 2803 St. Claude Ave (the old Gerkens Bike Shop)! This massive two-story studio offers twice the space for community art, featuring a culinary kitchen, a film & recording studio, family concerts, and adult classes.
Here is what’s on deck for tweens, teens, and families:
Creative Weekends for Pre-Teens & Teens (ages 10-17)
Older kids ages 10 to 17 can meet new friends, make art, play board games, or work on their own projects in a chill environment. Plus, Japanese Chin camp dogs Ziggy Stardust and Princess Supernova love kids and drop by to visit!
- Pre-Teen Art Party (Ages 10–12): 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
- Teen Night (Ages 13–17): 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- When: Every Saturday all summer (No event on July 4th).
- Cost: Sliding scale $10–$40 (Includes pizza with vegan/GF options, drinks, treats, and all art supplies!).
- What to Bring (Optional): A sketchbook, a favorite board game to share, or old costume pieces to upcycle!
Join a Weekly Dungeons & Dragons Campaign (ages 8-16)
Discover why D&D is Art Camp 504's most popular evening class! It’s a collaborative storytelling game where kids become heroes in their own story—working together to explore magical worlds, solve puzzles, and defeat monsters. It naturally builds teamwork, problem-solving, and even math skills.
- The Setup: Small groups of 4–6 students led by a professional Dungeon Master. Sessions meet once a week for 90–120 minutes.
- When: Enrolling now for Summer sessions! (Semester-based options also run Fall and Spring).
- Locations: Art Camp 504, Z’otz on Oak, Mojo on Magazine, and Go 4 Games in Metairie. (Parents can drop off or stay at the venue!)
- No Experience Needed: All skill levels are welcome. DMs excel at mixed-level groups, and all supplies (dice, character sheets) are provided.
- Ages: Generally 8–16. Age exceptions within one year of the starting age are considered based on maturity. (contact info@artcamp504.org).
Whether you’re a natural comedian or just ready to try something new, this class helps students build confidence, sharpen their wit, and discover their unique comedic voice—no experience required! Through fun acting games and improv exercises, students learn comedic timing and stage presence while having a blast, leaving with comedy fundamentals they can use in any creative setting.
* The semester culminates in a final performance at Big Couch Nola on JULY 7!

- When: May 26 - July 7 (First two classes are drop in - try it out!)
