Exciting Opportunity for a Free Week of Summer Camp

The National WWII Museum’s Camp Camo brings WWII history to life for young learners

March 9, 2026

This summer, young learners can step into history and adventure at
Camp Camo at The National WWII Museum!

Designed for children entering grades 3–6, Camp Camo invites curious minds to explore the lessons of the war that changed the world through hands-on activities, educational experiences, and team-building challenges that make history both meaningful and exciting. Camp Camo offers a unique opportunity for your child to build confidence, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the past.

All Camp Camo participants will receive full coverage of camp registration fees thanks to generous support from The Boeing Company. Because space is limited, Camp Camo is application-based. Camp for students entering grades 5 and 6 will be held June 8–12, and camp for students entering grades 3 and 4 will take place June 15–19.

Blending history with STEM exploration, Camp Camo examines how the different branches of the US Armed Forces contributed to World War II and continue to shape the nation today. Engaging science-based projects and problem-solving challenges allow campers to explore the technologies, strategies, and innovations developed during wartime that played critical roles in the success of the Allied forces. Campers will develop teamwork, leadership, and critical-thinking skills while making new friends along the way.

Campers will also explore many of the Museum’s immersive and interactive galleries, connecting what they learn in camp activities with real artifacts and personal stories that bring the past to life. Your child will gain a deeper appreciation for the service and sacrifice of the WWII generation and learn how the lessons of the era—innovation, resilience, and cooperation—still resonate today.

Families interested in enrolling their child should complete the application in full by March 27, 2026. All applicants will be notified of their status by April 15, 2026.

Camp Camo promises an unforgettable week of discovery, creativity, and exploration at The National WWII Museum—where history becomes an adventure.
