ZOObilation at Audubon Zoo for Members

Audubon members will get the red carpet treatment as Audubon Zoo stages its annual ZOObilation membership appreciation party on Wednesday, June 3.

The afternoon of family fun is set to begin at 4:30 p.m. and it’s free for Audubon members. ZOObiliation ends at 7:30 p.m.

During this special event, members will enjoy exclusive access to the Zoo, live music, keeper chats, animal feedings, exhibit open houses and children’s activities.

ZOObiliation offers opportunities unavailable during regular hours, including animal hospital tours, a chance to feed the giraffes and a discount at all Zoo concessions and the Audubon Marketplace gift shop.

Live entertainment will be provided by The Topcats on the Capital One Stage.

There also will be face-painting by Art from the Heart, free train, carousel and simulator rides, magic shows at Shell's Wildlife on Stage, appearances by entomologists from Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium and representatives of NOLA Motorsports and community outreach from the FBI.

Cool Zoo, a wild and wet splash park including Gator Run, the new lazy river attraction, Dinosaur Adventure and Kamba Kourse ropes challenge will be open for the event. Admission to Cool Zoo and Gator Run is $10 for members, tickets for Dinosaur Adventure are $2 and admission to Kamba Kourse is $13.50. Tickets for the Sky Tykes ropes course is $7.20.

ZOObilation is open to anyone with a current membership. Zoo visitors can sign up to become a member on the day of the event.

Blankets, lawn chairs and wagons are welcome, but no outside food and beverage is allowed. Guest passes will not be honored for this event.

The Zoo will close at 3 p.m. to prepare for ZOObilation.
