Sign your child up for the Summer Reading Program at the library!
What a great way to engage kids in reading while having fun along the way. It's totally free and participants who read 10 books get prizes! The program is for 0 - 18 year olds and is divided into Kids Summer Reading (ages 0-12) and Teen (12-18).

Besides the Summer Reading Program, the library has a nice line up of great entertainment in June and July! Don't miss Ronald McDonald, Wetland Express, Jojo the Clown, Magician Irwin Royes, Porta-Puppet Players, the Aquavan: Rainforest Rendezvous, Zoomobile, Bugmobile, Super Insects by Longue Vue House and Gardens, and musicians Phil Melancon and Rick Kelly. What a great way to explore all the different libraries around town.
