May 21, 2015
New Orleans area dance enthusiasts ages 9 to 18 have an incredible opportunity to study the art of dance under the tutelage of local and world-renowned artists during the upcoming school year – TUITION-FREE! The New Orleans Ballet Association (NOBA), in partnership with the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC), will hold auditions for the nationally award-winning NORDC/NOBA Center for Dance Pre-Professional Program on May 29-30, 2015.

This program provides students with intensive instruction in various dance forms, and unprecedented opportunities to study with world-renowned artists through the Chevron Master Artist Series. Through this program, students are also offered unique opportunities such as classes with NOBA Main Stage artists, performances on local and national stages, talent-based scholarships to attend prestigious summer dance programs (i.e. American Ballet Theatre and The Ailey School ), and tickets to NOBA Main Stage performances. The classes are held weekly between September 2015 and May 2016 at The Chevron Studio at the Lyons NORDC Center and at Tulane University’s McWilliams Hall.
